Linkedin

LinkedIn is now the world’s largest professional social network. However, it’s much more than simply a platform to post your resume and collect professional contacts.

Pharmacy-Life believes that sharing information can result in better patient care. There is a limit to the amount of printed information we can print in our magazines. The LinkedIn social media platform allows you to share your experiences, information and problems. To allow a greater focus we have created subsets by therapy area, e.g. Diabetes. Our hope is that as the user numbers grow, we can enhance patient experience and outcomes from this information sharing. Pharmacy-Life deemed it vital that this is confidential amongst the group users, nobody outside of the group has access to the conversations. LinkedIn is now the world’s largest professional social network. Pharmacy-Life wanted a platform that is easy to use, free, and has the ability to be confidential to its users, we choose LinkedIn, its simple to use.

LinkedIn Groups, a subset of LinkedIn based on people with common interests on a variety of topics, focuses professional networking to groups of your peers, in our case, the healthcare industry. Out of the hundreds of millions of people using LinkedIn on any given day, we can specifically target people who would be interested in our views.

Our LinkedIn Groups are set up to only accept registered UK pharmacists. Our editor will work to keep the conversations focused and relevant to the topic.

To ensure we are getting the most out of the groups you join, we really only need you to do one thing. Participate. Start discussions, respond to discussions, add news articles you think would be of interest to the group, etc. The more you put into the group memberships the more you will get out of them!

Occasionally material of interest will be included in our publications, English Pharmacy Review, Scottish Pharmacy Review, Welsh Pharmacy Review & Northern Ireland Healthcare Review, so that our readers can view the opinions of like-minded people, but all members identities will be anonymous. No one except the members of the group can access or see the discussion in the group. This is completely private to the members of the group.

So, that’s it! Get posting and get the conversation started.

This is free, but if like most of us, you are not a member of LinkedIn, or know how to join...Click here to join now
